Description:
The FlexSense® FS310 is a programmable reflective incremental encoder IC with an integrated LED. It provides a high-resolution single-chipincremental linear or rotary encoder solution without requiring an external LED. The device provides analog Sin/Cos outputs, digital outputs, and index track outputs. The FS310 is a compatible with the FS210 for applications requiring a reflective encoder design.
FlexSense® FS310 allows arbitrary quadrature track resolution and code wheel diameter. Factory calibration corrects for sin/cos signal errors (offset, gain, and phase). Calibrated parameter values are stored in an external EEPROM. Flexible programmability allows for wide tolerances during assembly so that the sensor is easy to install and align. The device enables programmable alignment support eliminating the need for precise mechanical alignment.
